Nadi Gathering Peru

We return to the mountains of Peru's Sacred Valley — a landscape of immense beauty and deep ancestral resonance.

Journey to the Sacred Valley.

In November 2026 we return to the mountains of Peru's Sacred Valley — a landscape of immense beauty and deep ancestral resonance. We come together with friends and family from the Inca Medicine School to share time in meditation and ceremony. As always, we anchor with Kundalini Yoga and other practices alongside Andean teachings and time on the land.

Kary is Peruvian by birth, and Nadi Gatherings are driven by her hope to bridge the ancient with the now, and to support the remembrance and preservation of indigenous traditions. Since 2017 we've worked closely with Maestro Alejandro Apaza and his family from the Inca Medicine School, developing strong relationships built over many mountain walks and fireside sharings.

We go to Peru as conscious travellers — to give, to receive, and to return home changed and expanded.

What Is Nadi Gathering?

Immersions in nature & indigenous wisdom

Nadi Gatherings are immersions in nature and indigenous wisdom. We support the journey through a range of practices and teachings including Kundalini rebirthing, movement, breathwork, sound healing, ceremonies, dance, music, discussions, one-to-one sessions and sharing circles.

We learn with Paqo Shamans from the Inca Medicine School. Across the week we share workshops, ceremonies and ritual with them. There is also the opportunity to receive an initiation into the Path of the Paqo.

The Journey

What Shapes the Gathering

Sacred sites, ancient citadels and time on the land — held through practice, ceremony and community.

01

Machu Picchu

This year the Gathering begins with a day trip to Machu Picchu, the most famous of ancient Inca citadels. This day is both the opening of Nadi Gathering and the closing pilgrimage of Shiv Charan Singh's two-week Kundalini Yoga and Applied Numerology programme.

02

Huchuy Qosqo

An overnight visit to the temple of Qaqyaqawana, also known as Huchuy Qosqo. Off the beaten track, we often have the place to ourselves. We stay on the mountain with a local Andean couple and greet the sunrise in meditation at the ancient site.

03

Perolniyoc Waterfall

We visit the stunning Perolniyoc waterfall and Rayqapata site, another little-visited wonder, where we are guided through a water meditation in the Q'ero tradition — alongside musicians and wisdom keepers.

Andean Wisdom YOU CAN BRING HOME

Path of the Paqo

The Paqo path is an Andean way of relating to the world through ayni - sacred reciprocity. It is a daily practice of tending relationship with Pachamama (Earth) and the Apus (mountain spirits), offering gratitude and making beauty through prayer.

We take part in haiwaricuy offerings (despachos), k'intu coca-leaf prayers, and ways of clearing through connection with the elements and nature spirits. These are practical, heart-centred teachings for everyday life - wisdom you can apply when you return home. There is an opportunity to receive a heart initiation at the end of the Gathering.

Who This Is For

Tambo Del Chalan

This gathering is for those drawn to engage with depth, and willing to meet another culture with respect and care. You may have an existing practice, or simply a sense that you want to experience something more grounded and real.

An openness to participate, listen and be present is more important than prior experience. The structure is clear, but the experience is never rushed.

Location

Tambo Del Chalan retreat centre on the foothill of Mount Chicón near Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley — about 50km from Machu Picchu. The setting is peaceful and private.

Food

Three vegetarian meals each day, with vegan and gluten-free options. Nourishing food to support practice, rest and time at altitude.

Surroundings

We are 2,300m up in the mountains of the Sacred Valley, surrounded by ancient sites, waterfalls and Andean villages - a landscape of immense beauty and deep ancestral resonance.

Accommodation

Double bedrooms, each with private bathroom and constant hot water. You can share or have your own room. Bedding provided — bring a towel, soap and toiletries.

Good to Know

Frequently Asked

Do I need to have practiced yoga to come?

Come as you are. Whether you are a regular yogini or spiritual practitioner, or you have never been on a yoga mat and are drawn to spending time with us and yourself on this sacred land — you are welcome.

Flights

Fly to Jorge Chavez Airport, Lima. Stay overnight or longer — Miraflores or Barranco are the best places. Use Quick Llama for inexpensive, excellent airport transfer. From Lima, take a domestic flight to Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco. Flights with a transfer in Lima tend to be more expensive. We arrange pick-up from Cusco or a nearby town within the Sacred Valley — covered by yourselves, at around $25 per person with four people.

Insurance

Participants are expected to buy personal insurance to come on the trip. Many policies cover medical treatment and cancelled flights — we recommend independent sites such as Which? and Martin Lewis for guidance. Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical care, emergency evacuation, cancellation and activities at altitude (~3,600m) is mandatory.

Arrival & getting to the eco lodge

If you arrive early and stay in Pisac or on the route from Cusco, we'll pick you up (approx. $10–$30). If staying in Cusco, please make your own way to the hotel. We organise shuttles on the opening day, morning and afternoon ($10–$30 per person depending on numbers, covered by yourselves). The journey from Cusco takes about 90 minutes; from Pisac, about 45 minutes.

Weather

In the daytime, temperatures vary from 17–25°C. Evenings get chilly and can drop to 8°C, and it can be cold on the mountain. Please bring warm clothes and waterproofs — nothing too heavy.

What to bring

Yoga mat (some available at the eco lodge), light shawls for the day and blankets for night practice (we're 3,000m up!), basic walking boots, a torch, a towel and toiletries, waterproofs, sunscreen, a water bottle, and anything for your comfort. Peru is jumper/poncho central — you can buy more for warmth in Cusco or Pisac.

Will the altitude affect me?

Qaqyaqawana (Huchuy Qosqo) is at 3,600 metres, with an option to hike to 4,200m (car and horse options available). Some people get altitude sickness — there's no rhyme or reason, but it doesn't last long and proper rest on arrival helps. We guide you to acclimatise, keep Mate de Coca tea at hand, and altitude tablets almost always do the trick.

What will a typical day be like?

We keep it organic and let the Gathering evolve. All workshops, trips and events are voluntary. Typically: morning gathering and meditation, ceremony or yoga; yoga, sound healing, breathwork and healing work; lunch; open space for guest workshops; circle and dinner; evening ceremony followed by sharing, kirtan and entertainment in the large dome; a goodnight gong bath meditation.

Will there be an ayahuasca ceremony?

We won't be holding ayahuasca or any sacred medicine ceremonies. However, we intend to hold sharing circles and beautiful rituals of other kinds. This is an alcohol-free event.

The Invitation

Give, receive, and return home changed and expanded.

The group is intentionally small so the experience can be held with care. We would love to welcome you to the Sacred Valley this November.
